Absolutely not; we can help you even if you’re not in pain. Our therapies are excellent at maintaining your health, keeping you moving at your best, decreasing the risk of injury, and helping you cope better with potential trauma in the future.

The path to lasting physical, emotional, and mental freedom and health typically requires an uncomfortable period where your old circumstances have not fully resolved, and your new condition is not entirely rooted. It is common to feel pain and discomfort during the transition.

Your body may release old bacteria, viral infections, stored dumps of cellular waste, cached emotional molecules, and dysfunctional cells into your body, causing detoxification symptoms. After treatment, the difference is that your body can process these toxins to filter and remove them from your system.

Old memories, emotions, or limiting thoughts may surface for uncomfortable experiences during or after sessions. A true healing journey requires you to experience this discomfort, beginning the process of release for transition.

When you feel the discomfort, you can transform it to get exactly where you want to be: feeling strong, centered, grounded, and calm.

Myofascial Release is the perfect place to start. At the beginning of every session, we’ll discuss the best combination of modalities to accomplish your healing goals. We can shift techniques and modalities as needed to help you along your journey.

We can discuss this over a free 15-minute phone consultation that we offer to every new client!

An example treatment plan for a chronic pain client is weekly 90-minute sessions scheduled for three months with combinations of Myofascial Release, Lymphatic Cleansing, and Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation.

An example treatment plan for a self-transformation client is weekly 60-minute sessions scheduled for two months with combinations of Energy Therapy, Myofascial Release, and Therapeutic Massage.

If your only healing goal is for physical pain to be gone so you can get back to your life, you are most likely a chronic pain client.

If you think there are emotional or mental blocks holding you back from living your life in addition to physical pain, then you are a self-transformation client. This treatment system is like a bottom-up approach to mind-body therapy.

Our methods at Triple Point stem off of John F. Barnes trainings with a technique that actually undoes fascial restrictions and achieves results that affect many medical conditions that are difficult to affect any other way.  Please take a look at our “Offerings” page for elaboration on this topic and to learn more about our work with fascia and your connective tissue and results we’ve achieved with clients.

When looking at internet search results using this term, myofascial release is many techniques called by the same name and it can cause confusion.  There are 4 general types of myofascial release:

1. The John F. Barnes Myofascial Release Approach, which is our focus.

2. The original myofascial release technique is rough and painful but works by ripping apart adhesions in your tissues for greater mobility. It is used in Rolfing.

3. In massage school, students learn “myofascial release” that utilizes long slow gliding techniques that feel very nice but won’t provide deep lasting results.

4. Students and experts with deep tissue massage will claim that trigger point therapy affects fascia and is “Myofascial Trigger Point Therapy” as discussed by Janet Travell.

This is how the massage and healing community have come to understand the term myofascial release.  This is why it’s so hard to find myofascial release therapists that provide excellent quality and mostly explains why some people say they’ve tried it but it didn’t work for them.

John F. Barnes is a Physical Therapist and the creator of the “John F. Barnes Myofascial Release Approach.” He developed the technique in the 70’s and 80’s and continues to teach the methods today. Mark has learned this approach to healing onsite, with John Barnes working directly with the creator and master of the technique.

Check out our Offerings page for a detailed description of Lymphatic Cleansing.

We have renamed the modality of “Manual Lymphatic Drainage” as “Lymphatic Cleansing.” (I don’t know about you, but I want to be cleansed and not drained!) It deals with activating your lymphatic system. Once stimulated, your lymphatic system will extract toxins, bacteria, viruses, white blood cells, T-cells, cancerous cells, proteins, fatty soluble vitamins, and water from the cellular environment to truly detoxify your body.

“CMLDT” stands for “Certified Manual Lymphatic Drainage Therapist .” A therapist performing Lymphatic Cleansing or Drainage should be certified to do the work after 45 training hours on the anatomy and physiology of the lymphatic system, along with indications and contraindications of the work.

Our Energy Therapy draws from Reiki and Healing Touch techniques. We work with the human bio-energy field that is around your physical body, recharging and decongesting it. It is the most relaxing therapy offered at Triple Point Myofascial Release

Self-care refers to a series of elongation techniques, stretching, lymphatic and proprioceptive awareness exercises that you can do at home between sessions. These self-care strategies help you take care of yourself for the rest of your life; this is our ultimate goal at Triple Point.

Please look at our public Google reviews for an outside perspective. These are real people who have benefited from sessions at Triple Point Myofascial Release. Some clients have had life-changing freedom from pain or re-engaged their self-value system for a new perspective on life.

Loose-fitting workout clothes are always a great idea to accommodate any work that we do.

After the initial check-in at the beginning of a session, your therapist will leave the treatment room, allowing you the privacy to disrobe to your comfort level, get onto the table, and under the draping. You will remain covered under the sheets throughout the session. We usually need skin contact for Myofascial Release, Lymphatic Cleansing, and Therapeutic Massage. You can remain fully clothed for Energy Therapy and Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation.

You do not have to take your clothes off for treatment. Some clients prefer wearing loose workout clothing and lying on top of the sheets during sessions. You can always keep your underwear on or disrobe to your comfort level and rely on our sheet draping procedures for your privacy. Also, your therapist will always leave the room for privacy while you disrobe or change and get under the sheet coverings.

During intake, we discuss your health and life goals, primary targets for improvement, past conditions, and past therapies that did or did not help. We’ll also cover any contraindications that stand out in the intake form you completed when booking the session. We then agree upon a path forward for the day’s session to help you start feeling better than when you arrived.

We will be looking to hire the finest quality therapists we can find after we are situated in our new space. Please stay in touch with us about your preferences so we can align you with our new hires once they begin to work onsite. We understand if you don’t wish to see a male therapist for any reason.

We understand that toxic male culture has affected your life and may have caused devastating trauma in some form. Mark creates a comforting and supportive environment where male and female clients feel safe and vulnerable enough to release emotional trauma, cry, and renew themselves. We can only ask that you allow the opportunity for him to try and help you heal something important in your life. You will be safe in his care. You can bring someone along with you if that makes you feel safer for your visit; they will be seated in the waiting room just outside the treatment room.

Energy Therapy works to purify the biofield around your physical body. Doing this type of session without any physical touch is possible, and you will feel relaxed and recharged with positive healing benefits that can last for weeks.

Please speak up if we can make you more comfortable. While we can certainly discuss some scientific, technical, or emotional aspects of our work, silence is usually the best state for healing. But if you prefer to discuss the world and reality, you can certainly do so.

If you fall asleep, it may mean we engaged your parasympathetic nervous system, and now you’re genuinely relaxed. Please enjoy this state of true relaxation thoroughly.

You are welcome to come with your spouse, but we only work with one client in the treatment room at a time. After the first, we can take your spouse into session and get you both feeling great.

Our therapists will happily mask if that is your preference.

We are vaccinated.

Mark is not a physician or medical doctor and he does not diagnose conditions or syndromes. His knowledge and consultation is not a replacement for a physician’s testing and diagnosis.

Mark will share a PhD level of information about your body and cells at Triple Point that compliments the medical field in many ways. This is especially true if you’ve been through the medical system and have found no relief from your symptoms.
